Nepal is one of the best countries in the world for long distance trekking paired with mountain views. It can get busy on parts of the popular route to Everest Base Camp, but for a good reason, and the astonishing scenery will take your mind off of any other trekkers on the trail for the first few days.

After a flight to the well renowned Lukla Airport, we trek for two days to Namche - the Sherpa capital perched high in the mountains. Then we trek on with visits to the historic Pangboche Monastery and the beautiful Tengboche Monastery which give an insight into Tibetan Buddhist Culture, all the while accompanied by views of Everest, Nupste, Lhotse and Ama Dablam.

Our route then breaks away from the busy trails, passing through Phortse and spending some time volunteering in the Khumbu Climbing Centre, then heads towards Gokyo, to visit the beautiful turquoise lakes and climb Gokyo Ri (5357m) where we once again view the 8000m summits around us. These quiet valleys and peaks are filled with astonishing views and soaring golden eagles. From Gokyo we visit Cho Oyu Base Camp and the rarely visited Fifth Lake. The trek then heads west over the Renjo La (5400m) before dropping down through quieter Sherpa villages.

Tea houses are frequent so there's always the opportunity to stop for a lemon and ginger tea, or a hearty lunch. This trek isn't rushed - well managed days allow for acclimatisation and plenty of tea drinking.

The accommodation options in the tea houses vary from village to village - some are as good as any 3-star hotel, some are simple wooden lined bunk rooms, but all have a welcoming living room complete with warm stove, and nourishing food to replenish your energy after a day's walking.

This trip will be fully supported by our regular Sherpa guides Cshiring and Manraj, our porters who'll look after your main luggage, and your Pro-Mountain Guide.

In Kathmandu we use the iconic Kathmandu Guest House in the centre of the busy Thamel District - a quiet haven where you can get your bearings on arrival, and relax after the trek.

Fees include everything during the trek - three cooked meals a day and snacks, hot drinks, boiled drinking water, all accommodation. Only the meals in the city aren't included. All transfers and internal flights to Lukla are also included but you'll be responsible for your international flight to Kathmandu.
